The inbox has been full of interesting opportunities lately.

Adult Colouring Monthly Draw

To celebrate their 30th anniversary, Lombardo’s Pizzeria and Restaurant has developed an adult colouring style pizza box that shows the owner Patti Lombardo and her three daughters who all help to run this female-run business.  Diners can colour in the box, take a photo and share it with @LombardosPizza #Lombardos30yrs on Twitter.  Until the end of 2016, there will be a monthly draw for a free large pizza using these submissions.

Summer Camp, Parent Night Out and Birthday Parties

Our family booked a birthday party at the My Gym in Maple Ridge last October. It was lots of fun for the children and relaxing for me, as the hostess.  There is a My Gym in Maple Ridge and Langley. My Gym Maple Ridge is currently booking summer camps (including an April 1st discount), birthday parties and parents’ night out.  If you don’t have access to babysitting, this 3 hour event is one to consider. ($25 for members and $30 for non members.)

Voices of Motherhood Contest

If you would like to enter the 4th annual Yummy Mummy Club Voices of Motherhood writing contest, the deadline is April 15th, 2016.  This year’s theme is Truth or Lies: What I’ve Never Said Before.  YMC is looking for entries that are funny, thought-provoking or heartfelt stories about motherhood.  That should just about cover it.  You can find more information about the contest and prizes here. Remember that you need to be a member of YMC to enter. It’s easy to join and free.

Kids Day at Wesbrook Village

On April 9, 2016, VancouverMom.ca and Wesbrook Village have organized a kids day featuring family yoga, guided nature walks in the Pacific Spirits Park and a bouncy castle.  You can also access four playgrounds, dining services and a free play gym drop in.  If you haven’t ventured into Pacific Spirits Park on your own, this would be a good opportunity to check out its nature walk potential.

Just Eat

If you live in Greater Vancouver, have you tried the JUST EAT app? The company was founded in Denmark in 2001 and is headquartered in London, UK. Here in Greater Vancouver the app helps you to order meal delivery and take out from 320+ restaurants including Thai, Greek, Indian, vegetarian, deli snacks, dessert and other food options. JUST EAT is currently offering $5 off orders when you enter code OUTDBL5 in the checkout (until April 10th). You download the JUST EAT app at the iTunes App store and Google Play Store.

In early April, JUST EAT will have a Win Your Own “Out Double” for 3 hours.  Sounds like an April Fools joke but actually it’s a thing.  Follow @JUSTEATca on Twitter and post a photo showing how you “stay in,” with the tag #MyOutDouble to be entered to win.
